​​Accepted Funding For each counselor: 

Licensed counselors (LPC and LCSW) accept Anthem, Aetna, and Sentara insurance or direct pay.   Residents accept Anthem and Aetna commercial and Medicaid insurance as well as Sentara Medicaid.  Residents also accept reduced direct pay fees for outpatient counseling and CSA/FAPT funding for home based services.

Staci vinson, LCSW

Outpatient Counselor

Staci enjoys h
elping to create effective and compassionate environments within families, organizations, and schools using an attachment and trauma informed approach.  She also works with  individuals and couples to improve self awareness, emotional regulation, and authenticity to better connect with themselves and one another. She loves helping dogs in need and empowering humans  to take good care of their animals too.

Outpatient and Home based Counselor
Emily is working towards her clinical social work license. She engages clients with the notion that they are the experts of themselves and seeks to support them in their own goals and desired growth. She utilizes strengths-based, attachment and trauma informed care in her approach with individuals, couples, and family systems of all ages.  It is important to Emily that her clients experience compassion and a deeper understanding of themselves in working together. Outside of  work, she has a passion for fostering dogs and cats in need. She also has a passion for music and the healing that music, art, and animals can inspire.  She has proficiency in Spanish and strives to support Spanish-speaking families.

Chris martsolf,

Outpatient and Home Based Counselor
Chris is currently a Resident in Counseling, working to gain licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). He has 10 years of professional experience in the mental and behavioral health field. Chris's approach to therapy is person-centered, collaborative, strengths-based, and trauma-informed; aiming to empower individuals to effectively manage their challenges and achieve their therapeutic goals. Chris has been professionally trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)  and  has particular interest in working with people who seek healing from complex trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, hoarding, and issues that impact the LGBTQ+ community.

Sandra zacchino, BA, QMHP

Intake Coordinator and Billing Manager. Parent Support Counselor

Sandra enjoys working with adults to overcome anxiety, depression, and mid-life transitions. She also has experience helping children and teens with 
Autism Spectrum Disorder. Sandra is passionate about  Naturopathy and utilization of a holistic diet to help maintain mental and physical wellness.

Erin Britt, MSW 

Outpatient and Home Based Counselor
Erin is an MSW supervisee with 17 years of clinical experience working   with all ages and life stages.  Her professional interests include helping people overcome challenges related to  anxiety, depression, substance abuse, eating disorders, and life adjustments. Erin would like to help individuals have a better sense of themselves and the life they wish to create. She loves animals and time in nature.

Jesse is pursuing licensure as a MSW supervisee  with SCCG after being in the social work field for 16 years. He has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings. Jesse is an optimist who believes that every person has the potential for growth given the right environment and support. His goal is to learn and facilitate positive change.

Caroline's professional interests include helping people overcome challenges related to s
ubstance use, anxiety, and depression. She uses  mindfulness to facilitate self-efficacy,  operating from a belief in the strong relationship between self-understanding and community connection, and from the understanding that everyone is doing their best with what they have.

Aimee Dumaresq, LCSW

 Outpatient and Home Based Counselor
Aimee is in training as a Trauma Play Certified Therapist. She supports parents to create a healing   relationship with their children and has experience working with children and teens in the foster care system. She enjoys using 
 art, play, nature, and movement to engage more fully with clients. Aimee works to provide a space where clients feel safe, seen, and heard so they can then gain the skills and self awareness to create change on their healing journey.  She enjoys  watercolor painting and listening to Taylor Swift!

Heidi shaner, ms

Parent Support and  Home Based Counselor
Heidi is a dedicated mental health professional known for her warm and compassionate style. She has a Master of Science in Therapeutic Recreation and nearly a decade of experience empowering individuals and families to thrive. As a certified Strategic Intervention Life Coach,   Heidi provides home based counseling and  parent coaching with a focus on strengthening family bonds and fostering emotional well-being.
Heidi is currently pursuing a second master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with the goal of becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
Outside of her professional work, Heidi enjoys a life close to nature—living on the water, boating, and spending cherished time with her grandchildren.

CLARISSA HASKINS-MAXEY, MSW, CSAC

Outpatient and Home Based Counselor 
Clarissa is a passionate therapist in training, mentor, and advocate who believes healing is not a one-size-fits-all journey. it's personal, powerful, and deeply rooted in connection. With a background spanning treatment of adolescent substance use, perinatal opioid care, and community-based advocacy, Clarissa brings both professional depth and real-world understanding to her work.
She supports individuals, couples, and families of all ages using an integrative, strengths-based approach. She aims to help people feel seen, heard, and empowered and is especially passionate about working with BIPOC clients and communities, where cultural understanding, safety, and representation matters to stop the stigma. Outside of her work, Clarissa enjoys free time laughing and loving alongside her family.
